Keeping in mind the integration plan, a backward integrated plant (AIL) was started in 1987 under the professional guidance of Sh. Sandeep Jain – Director, who has wide experience in the industry. Our modern steel melting shop consist of two induction furnaces having production capacity of 7 MT and 1 MT with two crucibles. AIIFA awarded Dhatu Nayak Award in the year 2003 for manufacturing alloy steel of very high quality from induction furnace.
We have one Electro Slag Refining unit of 3 Ton capacity and can cast 140mm to 500mm round having length from 1200mm to 1400mm. We follow a set process of steel making to ensure quality finished products. It starts from segregation of scrap to be used according to the grade to be manufactured, which is melted under the supervision of Technical & experienced personnel. The molten metal is poured in Ladle having Argon purging system for cleaning the steel. Vacuum De-gassing is also done for making cleaner steel, having 10 MT capacity vaccum pressure create upto one milibar. After this ingots are cast. The ingots are stripped out from the mould after cooling up to the desired temperature. At every stage we have a stringent quality checks. The quality is controlled by highly trained personnel by means of continuous testing and process control.
